Hoping someone can help me...
If I fire up my PS3 and opt to view any media (photo's, music or movies) via PS3 Media Server the PS3 runs it's circular little graphic for a while and then tells me there's been a DLNA error 2006. I've searched for this error code via Google and the number of possible/probable causes run into the hundreds!
However, if I simply use the XMB on my Sony Bravia in TV mode (i.e. not using the PS3) and run say a slideshow of my photos via PS3 Media Server then all works just fine (albeit it complains of being disconnected from the background music).
If I then open an Explorer view of my photos library and remove the Read Only flag at the folder level (but applying the settings to all files and subfolders) then viewing photos at least via the PS3 using PS3 Media Server now works too.
So...
How do permanently remove the Read Only flag? The flag gets reset within a few seconds from my unsetting it in Explorer.
Or
How do I get PS3 Media Server running via the actual PS3 to have access to Read Only files?
Or
Am I barking up the wrong path altogether?
Cheers
