I have been running my HP Mediaserver (gen 1) for years and have recently had an odd problem. I get errors that say that Shares are failing (unable to access device) but the disks all show healthy. What's more, if I access the share from another computer I can see and read all the files. Basically I don't see any problem except in the Shared Folders view of the console. A reboot usually fixes it, but then I'll get another one. Same symptoms. Files are there, share is accessable, Shared Folder view shows one or more shares as Failing but the disks show healthy.
Anyone seen this? Any clue on how to fix? Is it just time to give up my WHS and upgrade to something newer?
