This whole migration to WHS 2011 is really reminding me why I switched to Mac a few years ago. WHS was the one last thing I really liked from Microsoft. My WHS v1 was crashing so I decided to rebuilt it with WHS 2011. After a day of frustration I gave up on one big RAID 5 pool and set it up using 4 separate 2TB drives.
Now I'm trying to move all my data to the new install and I'm getting "Unable to move, file name is too long" errors.
Now, it let me put the stuff on my old server that way but yet Widows doesn't like it and I can't move it to the new server.
Does anyone know a tool or way around this? I REALLY don't want to be digging through subfolders and files to find and rename the files that are too long.
Any help would be great!
