Hi there,
Hope fully someone can shine some light on the problem I have with my EX470.
The server regulary drops off the network (at least once a day) and the strange thing is that it also stops any other PC from accessing the internet.
The server is not displaying any health warning lights but the activity light on the back of the NIC is constantly flashing, even if I pull the ethernet cable out, however pulling the cable out does restore interrnet access to all other PC's. I have to power the server off and on to get it to connect properly again.
The server has had all available HP updates, Windows updates and has PP3 beta installed, (I was experiencing the same problem before I installed PP3 beta).
The server is connected to a Belkin gigabit switch which is then connected to a BT Home Hub. I have tried connecting the server directly to the BT router but the same thing happens.
The driver for the NIC is the latest from SiS's website.
I have tried enabling\disabling some of the advanced adapter settings but none of these have solved the problem.
To me it seems like the servers NIC is flooding the network and as such is why it knocks the internet out for other machines, i'm also thinking this is probably a hardware error on the network card but if anyone has any ideas i'm all ears.
Thanks in advance!
