I've had a client computer setup for a few months with launchpad. Today I had an outbount request from C:\Program Files\Windows Server\Bin\Microsoft.HomeServer.Archive.TransferService.exe to IP Address 107.14.41.176 Port 80.
The IP doesn't reverse and is owned by Time Warner Cable. When manually connecting to that web address the web server identifies itself as AkamaiGHost.
I'm not a Time Warner customer, my computer is behind a router with no open external ports so there was never an inbound request first.
I don't allow any inbound or outbound connections to the Internet through my computer firewall without a prompt which is why this request got identified.
This appears to be something Microsoft is trying to spy on what is shared on my network but is more suspicious it could be something else because it's to a non-microsoft owned IP address.
Any thoughts or information about this?
