I am using the Lights-Out trial on my WHS 2011 box, and have the LO client and WHS Connector on all client PCs.
The server is set to monitor WHS Clients. The server properly sleeps properly when the last client enters sleep or shutdown. The server wakes properly when a client is powered up.
However, when I try to initiate a server suspend from a client machine, the server goes into sleep mode, and then immediately wakes up. There are times when I would like to use a client machine without having the server powered-up.
Is it safe to assume the server wakes immediately because the WHS Connector software is polling the WHS Server? Is there any way to suspend the server while there is an active client?
