Mezzmo - Seems Pretty Good So Far!

Hey, thought I'd add a quick post about this media streamer I stumbled over. I've tried PS3MS, WM11, and Twonky on my server to get eveything streamed to my Xbox 360. I also use a classic xbox with XBMC installed, but want to try and use the 360 as much as possible (xbmc has a habbit of crashing due to ultra low memory, etc).

Twonky was ok, but didnt like all the additional directories, etc that show up. I do like a clean look. WM11 works well when the DNLA part works. However, alot of time the software will not show up on any client software - be it my Win7 laptop or my 360. This means me having to remote in and try restarting the server, etc. Pain inthe rear!

Now when i first installed Mezzmo, wasnt sure how it would work, but it auto configured everything quickly and painlessly! I hate trying to manually configure stuff that should be done automatically. Now I dont think there is any addin available for console, so it is all remote access to setup (no bad thing imo!).

Within about 20 mins of installing and telling it the directories that I want to use (using d:\shares rather then //homeserver/shares as I think that to be faster and more reliable), it had cached all the files, downloaded thimbnails and album covers, etc. All working well. So far, by the furthest - its been the most complete streamer I have found.

I will be playing for a while and testing as much as I can, so any questions, please ask! :D

So guys, give it a try - www.mezzmo.com. There is a download avail to try with a 14 day trial period. While there are cheaper ones (well free to be exact), I dont think they really compare overall. Anyway, try and see! :D
