I still have two free drive slots in my N40L so instead of using the 5th SATA port to install a SSD and use the modded bios I thought about using a 2.5" to 3.5" Icy Box converter and hook a small SSD up to the first port.
Will the standard drive slots take a SSD without having to mod the bios to get it working properly?
I was hoping it would be possible to have the OS on a SSD and perhaps have the other mechanical drives spin down when not in use. Is this something that could be done on WHS 2011?
