Enabled Vt-D In Bios But Server Manager Says It Is Off

I just bought a new desktop Asus M51AC it has a Haswell core i7 and memory is expandable up to 32Gb of RAM. I brought it home and directly installed Server 2012R2  Essentials in dual boot with Windows 8. I also voided my warranty by opening it up and installing two hard drives. One of these is working fine the other however is only seen in the bios and it saying that it is 0GB in size (this has me worried) The only other issue is that I can't turn on the Hyper-V role from server management it says it can't install because it isn't enabled in the BIOS. I read something saying you needed to have VT-x enabled in the BIOS but my only option is for VT-d which from my understanding of the text sounded like it was more advanced but I could be wrong. If anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.
