My WHS has been up and running faithfully for 5 years now without a hiccup. Due to some hardware updates on various computers in the house, I removed the system and pool drives and decided to update the drives on the server. So I put in an 80GB system drive and fired up a fresh install. Installation was just as I remember it, slow and steady but it got the job done. As with all MS OS installs, my first step was to install the drivers and fire up Windows Updates. And that is where the problems started.
IE 6 opens up and I select express and a few hours later... I am still looking at a screen that says "Checking for the lastest updates for your computer...". I then manually installed PP1 and still get the same results when selecting either express or custom. I tried using the console and when I click on Update Now, the console freezes.
I have installed Home Server SMART Classic and it is reporting the system drive is completely healthy.
Any ideas on how to get this build updated so I can add my pool drives in?
