I am attaching a screen shot of todays logging events in lightsout from the dashboard. If you'll notice, home server and session is lit from midnight to current time.
At some point last night before midnight (I assume) the server shut down, there are no crash logs or events for this. I boot up the server this morning at ~7:01 AM (you'll see that is where lights out is showing that computer P8H77-V is on. The server was OFF, not just suspended, but OFF, prior to this, yet according to lights out, the server and session was active.
At noon today, I'm home at lunch, the server was still on and active. at ~12:45, I was going to access the dashboard from the VIAO laptop, but I noticed the laptop's lightsout icon showed the server was asleep. No big deal right? Wake server now, nothing happens. Go to server and turn it on, it boots up as if it were off, yet you can clearly see lightsout shows activity???
I would grab the lightsout log files from the server, but for some reason, when I connect to the server (remote web access) I get the dashboard instead of remote desktop. Is there a way I can remote desktop to my server from remote web access, just like I can with any of my client PC's? (I am at work, really, I'm kind of working here)
edited to add recorded events window, shows I booted the PC at 12:38 PM today, as well as 7:00 AM today, along with 8:35 yesterday morning. Yesterday, being the 10th, was the last day the server did any client backups, it did not do any this morning (because the server was actually off, unbeknownst to me....) Yesterday morning was the FIRST time the server had shut down on it's own.
I had run memtest86 lest week on the memory, it completed, said it was fine. I ran whocrashed today after I boot the server at 12:38, it tells me crash dump logging is enabled, but that there are no logs.
