Rocketraid 2680Sgl Led Pin Out Help

Hi folks, I have a Highpoint RocketRaid 2780SGL in my WHS, it supports eight HDD it was a good deal for the price.

The question I have is, has anyone connected led’s to the boards output pins?

I would like to utilize a blank drive bay cover to display the status of each hdd.  Eight activity led’s and eight failure led’s the board has 16 output pins it would be nice to see the status.

I’ll attach a .jpg of the card and pages from the user manual which is informative at all.
