New Server, Lightsout Not Waking It From Hibernation

Hi,

I just got a new Dell T110 II model server a week or so ago.

Previous machine was just a home-built PC that I turned into a Windows Home Server 2011,

which works for what I needed, but doesn't support a number of things WHS can do.

Anyway, WHS installed flawlessly, no problems, no errors, everything up and running fine.

It has 1 500Gb SATA drive as the system drive.

Two 1.5Tb SATA drives in a Raid 1 configuration for file storage.

One older 500Gb SATA drive for grins, mostly since the external box it was in died,

and I didn't know what else to do with it, so I stuck it into the available slot.

4Gb of RAM, so there's no problem there.

Okay, so this box is a real server, and it has all the bells and whistles of servers,

supports hibernation and standby modes.

It will go into hibernation when I tell it to, and when Lightsout tells it to.

What I am trying to get it to do is:

1) Hibernate at about 11pm every day.

2) Wake up from hibernation at 8am every day.

I have these two events set on the calendar in Lightsout.

It does go into Hibernation on-time, every time.

It does NOT wake up on-time though.

In fact it doesn't wake up until I press the power button on the box.

I've read thru the various posts here looking at the suggestions, and have tried all that I can from

them. I've looked at the system BIOS for the power control items, and this unit is different from the instructions I have seen there. This unit has really only 1 option for Power Management - OFF (meaning its an always-on unit) and "OS controlled".

I've looked at the Device Manager, everything is working. The one suggestion I can't change there from my readings on this site is the video driver. Dell doesn't provide (even on their website) an updated driver other than the Standard VGA driver.

This box is going to live in a closet, and I don't really want to have to turn it on myself, but if Lightsout can't get it to come on, then I don't see a reason to buy the software.

What else can I try?
