I have a Asus Essentio CG5290 with a i7 and 24gb of Ram running WSE 2012 and it seems to work great and I will even confess to using it for client like uses and not strictly as a server one of the only things that I am currently unhappy about is the data transfer speeds. The CG5290 does show its age in that it doesn't have any USB 3.0 ports so I have two 4bay hard drive enclosures and two external hard drives that are all 3.0 compatible connected to 2.0 ports. I want to add a 3.0 pci or pci express device to the server but I am unsure what to order or where it would go I have added RAM, changed hard drives, removed cooling fans, repasted my CPU and north bridge and added graphics cards (want to try a build but don't really need another computer 3 servers, 3 notebooks, 2 netbooks, 1 netbox, 1 AIO touch desktop and 2 Windows 8 tablets is enough for me) but I have never added a component that wasn't already there mostly things were being replaced while I was inside the computer. So I was hoping if I added info on my board and the PCI slots that someone could suggest the proper product that I would need to get this working. The board is a Rampage Gene II microATX and the features are listed below. Thanks in advance to anyone who uses their time to help with this query.
