Well, after having a catastrophic time with WSE2012, I am back to the good old WHS11 days. Ahhh yes feels good.
Now, I've run into an issue setting up uTorrent as a service on the WHS box. Let me explain:
I used the tutorial here: http://jack.ukleja.com/utorrent-service-windows-home-server-2011/ to make the service (but simply replacing the bit where it goes "C:\Program Files (x86)\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe" with where it actually is with the new releases (so on mine, its C:\Users\Aman\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe) . All well and good...
but when RDP'ing to the WHS box, it doesnt show the torrents Ive added using the webui.
Call me pedantic, but i'd like to have them displaying on the RDP Windows side AS WELL AS the web ui.
So, ive tried the task schedule way. Doesnt solve it. Even tried changing the users (from LOCAL SERVICE) to Aman (my actual user on the box).
uTorrent shows up twice in Task Manager, regardless of which route I take, I think thats the issue here.
So, does anyone have a solution to this? (Where the webui is in sync with the actual Windows application?
