Launchpad Crashes, Dashboard Won't Run At All

All of a sudden, neither work.  Launchpad crashes with the error "Windows Server Computer Launchpad has stopped working".  Dashboard does nothing at all.

I have uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled the connector so many times, I could do it blindfolded.

I examined the launchpad logs and noted the following:

An exception of type 'Type: System.InvalidOperationException, mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' has occurred.
Timestamp: 08/03/2013 10:34:53
Message: Operation caused an invalid state.
Stack:    at System.Windows.Media.Imaging.BitmapDecoder.SetupDecoderFromUriOrStream(Uri uri, Stream stream, BitmapCacheOption cacheOption, Guid& clsId, Boolean& isOriginalWritable, Stream& uriStream, UnmanagedMemoryStream& unmanagedMemoryStream, SafeFileHandle& safeFilehandle)

I don't program, but saw "BitmapDecoder" so I updated my ATI graphics drivers to the latest Catalyst driver.  I had been running the driver that came with Win7.  Didn't help

I removed the connector, removed .Net 4, rebooted, reinstalled .Net4, reinstalled the connector.  Still no go.

I have run Microsoft's NetFxRepairtool.exe - no errors.

I have run sfc /scannow - no errors.

The same thing is happening on one of my other Win7 machines, but a third Win7 machine works fine.  I can RDP into the server from any machine, and I can run the desktop on the server while i have RDP'd to it.

Any ideas?  I am trying to restore a file from a previous backup, but cannot get the dashboard to work.

The last section of the Dashboard and Launchpad log files are listed here.
