I am testing out a scenario where I have two WHS2011 servers on the same network (WHS-1 and WHS-2). Lights Out is running on both. All the client PCs are linked to WHS-1 for backup purposes. Once a day WHS-1 does a backup to WHS-2 of WHS-1's system disk and client computer backups and vice-versa for WHS-2's system disk only.
I was looking at this page http://www.homeserversoftware.com/lo/whs2011/help/en/client_software_waking_multiple_machines.htm and have setup the registry to add in WHS-2 as server 2.
Am I meant to be able to select WHS-2 from a client PC using the icon in the system tray so that I can wake it up - it only appears to show WHS-1? If not, what exactly is this new function meant to be used for and how?
Many thanks
EDIT: Just noticed that I posted this in the WHS V1 based forum , should have been in the WHS2011 forum - maybe it could be moved?
