While still working on getting my system virtualized, I picked up a Raspberry Pi and slapped OpenELEC on it. Very impressed, but I still have a few hiccups to work out. The main one is that I'm still getting a small amount of stuttering on very high bit rate MKVs (In this case Brave). It was suggested to me that switching from SMB shares to NFS might fix the problem due to lower overhead.
Well, while it seems easy enough to set up NFS on WHS2011 now, apparently the NFS utility that comes with WHS2011 doesn't support mounted shares, which means it doesn't work with FlexRAID. At least that's the most recent info from over a year ago that I could find. There was some talk about using Hanewin or freeNFS, but those seemed hit and miss (again all posts a year old or so).
So wanted to see if anyone is doing this and if so how?
It was also suggested thatsharing the video folder without a password might help too. I'm not entirely sure how to do that in WHS2011 though.
Thanks!
