Hi everybody,
the Raspberry Pi is a cheap single board computer, see here for details http://www.raspberrypi.org.
The model B with network support is ideally suited to build a wake-on-lan proxy for those with crippled routers (routers which can't forward a packet to the broadcast address). For background information please read http://forum.wegotse...n-warning-long/
I've created a simple service (a daemon) which receives wake-on-lan packets from the router and broadcasts these packets into the local network.
A step-by-step manual with detailed instructions is available here: http://www.homeserversoftware.com/raspi/Raspberry%20Pi%20as%20WolProxy%201.0.0.pdf
