Hi Guys--
Just signed up at this thread as I'm at wits end with my Acer Easystore H340 WHS box. I've had drive issues in the past, but the box has been powered down since I replaced the drive that showed a red light. Since moving into my new ethernet hardwired townhouse, I want to get the box back up, but I'm not able to do so because it won't complete the restore process.
I connect the Acer to the network and push the back pin in while turning on. It boots up, the red 'i' begins to flash, and the network light comes on. I then start the 'Server Recovery' via the client machine (a laptop plugged into another ethernet terminal in the house, though I've also tried directly connected to the box). The restore proceeds normally, until it gets to the point where the server needs to be rebooted.
Once the reboot occurs, the Acer never again connects to my network. It powers down, powers up, then the blue 'i' begins flashing and just sits that way. I can't remote to it nor ping it (Request Timeout). It just never again connects to the network.
Does anyone have ANY idea what's happening? Is the OS HD toast?
