I just got home from a few days at the Jersey shore. My brother recently moved down there and he actually got me some work setting up a network and configuring some remote access for his employer. The mini work vacation (was very little work) gave me a great opportunity to test out Hamachi (can't get built in remote access to work) running on my WSE box and I have to say I was very impressed with its performance. I had access to all my files and the superb performance of the media playback on his PC from my server at over 70 miles away was for the most part flawless. I was also impressed with the performance of my Slingbox (Yeah my cheap ass brother just watches my Slingbox when I'm not using it instead of paying for cable) it worked good streaming both my cable box and my WD TV Live. WD was just for testing purposes since Hamachi covered the job better with less work involved. As someone who was growing up in the age of Atari and remembers early computers as machines that couldn't quiet hold my interest due to lack of functionality to now have the technological capabilities that we possess in such a short amount of time is truly an astonishing achievement.
