Got a "Shuttle" XPC in my front room that runs WMC from boot, yet sometimes appears to have major slowdown.
I can browse librarys on the network (WHS2 box, GB LAN, mapped drives) and when changing the sort y from date/name etc it can be a bit slow, however the main issue is when you hit play, sometimes it just sits there, have left it for over 5 minutes before and its just not started to play, yet you can close WMC and pick the same file from the mapped drive and it just starts to play straight off so looks like a WMC error rather than anything else..
Anyone seen this before and know of a fix?
I could if its easier bin Win7 and move to Win8 as I have a Pro Pack key from when MS were giving them away so I could use that perhaps if its more a Win7/WMC issue thats fixed under Win8...?
