Any Opinions On How A Seagate Hybrid Notebook Drive Would Do?

A few months ago I replaced my Dell XPS notebook HDD with a 1 TB Seagate hybrid drive, and have been very pleased with the improved performance.  With the 8 GB of NAND being used for frequently accessed files, I've seen better boot times, and much better performance playing transformed 1080x1920 'high definition' video (yes, you read that right - 1080 W x 1920 H video transformed (VLC's geometry menu) into 1920 W x 1080 H video) that used to completely bog down / lock up the XPS with the original drive installed.

So being pretty pleased with how the hybrid drive works in a single-user notebook environment, I couldn't help but wonder how it might fare in a more demanding Server environment.  I'm curious to know if the slower 5400 rpm spindle speed should be a noticeable impediment in a multi-user environment, or if the 8 GB NAND would offset that.

What do you guys think?  Do you think it's worth a shot?  Or would the $110 be far better spent on a smaller SSD drive instead?
