Uninstall Php 5.4

In attempting to follow the instructions to install Own Cloud in 25 Essential Projects v 2, I mistakenly installed php 5.4 instead of 5.3. I didn't realize it until the rest of the detailed instructions didn't match at all what I was seeing. Now I have both 5.3 and 5.4 installed, and can't figure out how to get rid of 5.4. I have found several different sets of instructions on the Internet, but don't necessarily trust them. I want to ensure this is done cleanly and correctly. Any help appreciated.
