Server Isn't Accessible Anymore

Sorry to bother everyone but I am having a problem and could use  a few questions answered. First off I don't know what has happened with my WHSv1 box (Asus TS MINI) it is no longer available on my network I can't access the shared folders or connect through remote desktop. The power is still on and the indicator lights on the front are working, system status is solid networking is blinking and HDD 1 is blinking so basically the indicator lights are reporting that it is functioning normally yet the server is not accessible on my network. I have restarted it and read through the manual still don't know why it isn't being seen I have had barely any trouble with this machine except that it kept losing hard drives while connected to ESATA moved to USB and no problem since. I was thinking about doing a recovery and starting fresh any advice on how to do this on a headless machine. I was thinking about setting up a home automation project and using this server to run the home automation do you think this server would be good for that. and last but not least will it be easy to add the DE drives to my WSE 2012's StableBit DrivePool.

EDIT solved the network problem by unplugging the router now the TS Mini is back on my network computers list still curious about the home automation just for the sake of giving this computer a purpose  and I have been manually been moving files form DE disk to my WSE 2012 so I am wondering about the disk still.
