What's The Proper Way To Move Files Between Pooled<->Unpooled Hdds?

Now that I've got my Lenovo D400 up and running on WHS2011, I want to pop a 2TB drive that has some files I want to add to the pool into the remaining drive slot.  I also want to move all the High Definition (for now) video files from the pool (2TB X 2) to this new 2TB drive before moving it over to our new "server".

Do I add files to the pool by moving them into the Pool Drive and move files from the pool by finding them under the applicable PoolPart.GUID folder and moving them from there?  Or do I move them both to and from the pool at the Pool Drive?  Or does it matter?
