Last week, my hard drive containing the system has suddenly crashed (a maxtor from end 2009) and unfortunately I've been unable to recover something (the system and the 73 Gb datas on it) because the hard-drive presents more than 500 defectuous sectors (first time that one of my Hd crashed so quick without an alert, no more Maxtor for me).
I bought an new HD (2,5" 1 Tb) and I manage to reinstall WHS, but now all the datas on my 3 other drives are only accessbile as hidden files and the HD are not recognized as part of the HD cluster of the new install (even if I have the same password and users).
Is there a trick to recover the data knowing that I no longer have access to the old system that has dispatched all the datas on the 4 HDs (the system and the 3 others), without copying those datas on an external drive ?
I have also a CD called RESTORE_DUAL, is this CD meant for réinstalling the system previously installed because I remember having done a backup ??
Thanks for your answer, and sorry for my bad english I hope you can understand better than the google's translation.
