I'm trying to get a DLNA server to run at startup.
i've been using a combination of the WHS2011 own DLNA capabilities (limited as they are) and Plex Media Server (which would be great if it was an add-in and could run as a service).
I was recently introduced to oShare (http://sourceforge.net/projects/oshare), which works great on my Win7 machine. However, its a "portable" app, which doesn't get installed. It just runs when you click the .exe file.
I tried to get it to run at startup on my WHS2011 server by scheduling a task in Task Scheduler, but it isn't working. I was doing it via remote connection (so maybe thats the problem?) but couldn't get it to work under my personal user account or as running everything as an admin.
Any advice? Do you think it would work if I logged on to the machine directly? i've been running headless for a while, but would be easy enough to plug in a monitor.
Thanks
