How To Mount A Drive From A Client Backup

From using WHS v1 for a year or two, I'm used to doing the following:
  • browsing through client backups, whilst on a client PC
  • choosing a backup
  • choosing a drive from the backup,
  • then just mounting it, thereby giving it a drive letter on my PC.
This allows me to see a read-only copy of the entire drive of any backed-up drive, on any client, from any of the dates for which backups still exist.

And it allows me to use all sorts of tools such as Araxis Merge to compare the contents of different backups, all temporarily mounted, and without needing to restore the selected files to the client PC.

Where is this functionality in WHS 2011?

All I can find is the "Restore files or folders for the computer" feature, which requires me to drill down through folders - I just can't see how to get it to mount the drive.

(I've seen separate discussions that say I can mount .vhd files from backups, but as far as I can see, this is backups of folders on the server - just to be clear, I want to view the contents of client backups, not server ones)

Am I missing something obvious?

Surely Microsoft hasn't removed this amazing functionality from WHS v1?
