I am in the process of migrating over from WHSv1 to WS2012E and just recently got my WS2012E server built. I tested transferring files to WS2012E and only got between 3-7 MB/s which is horrible. I haven't done any tweaking in WS2012E to any of the settings yet. Any ideas on what the issue could be or how to troubleshoot? Here is more info:
Gigabyte G1.Sniper3 mobo
16GB RAM
Onboard Intel NIC (I disabled the second Bigfoot NIC)
Highpoint RocketRAID 2720 Sata card
The first test I did was transferring files to the 1TB WD Black Harddrive (connected to the onboard SATA 0 port). I got between 3-7 MB/s
The second test I did was transferring files to the drives connected to the RocketRAID card (2 3TB WD Red drives set up as a JBOD Pool combined with Stablebit) and I was struggling to even stay above 1 MB/s
All connections are wired, the WS2012E, WHSv1, and my desktop PC all connected to the same Linksys gigE switch (my typical transfer speed between my PC and WHSv1 is around 30-60 MB/s)
Installing the drivers was a bit of a nightmare so not sure if that is the issue, but obviously something is not working correctly
