Essentials On Hp N40L

Hi All
Question,
I have a one year old Supermicro SYS-7046A-3 system (Workstation) and a new HP N40L Micro server and I would like to know if I should install Essentials on the HP with (8GiG of Ram) and three 2TB HD. would this system be to slow to be useful? or should I install Essentials on the Supermicro SYS-7046A-3?
