Router Selection

I have had two defective Linksys Cisco EA3500 routers with tons of network dropouts that do not occur when I plug the server directly into the modem... What routers are people having success with? I would like to run a Gigabit one that is Windows 8 compatible.

I have a Windows 8 laptop, tablet, Windows 7 desktop and the WHS 2011 server. Any advice would be much appreciated! I'm not worried about cost, I just want something that is reliable.
