I have a WHS system with about 12 drives attached internall. I finally ran out of room internally and needed to add more space for my movies.
I attached two WD 4 TB drives and after a hour or so I started to use the drives to store movies and I get the BSOD. I have never gotten one on the WHS 2011 before. The error was
driver-irql_not_less_or_equal caused by asmthub3.
I think this is the USB 3.0 driver for the USB ports on the rear of the machine that the 2 WD 4 TB drives are attached.
I looked all over the net to find the most current drivers as the ASUS mobo site did not have them. I installed the lastest drivers from Asmedia Technology. Istill am getting the BSOD with the same error.
Any thoughts?
By the way I noticed that when I added 3 tB internal drives to the system, WHS 2011 broke them up into a 2TB and a 1 TB but it did accept the 4TB as a 4TB drive and shows as such. Could this be the problem.
Addition: I plugged a 3 TB WD dive it it works flawlessly
