I have been waiting for this for a long time.
Recently I read a few posts that said GPT support is to be expected in some release in December.
Although I did not hear any official word on the support, last week I started a backup on my client computer which has GPT SSD drives for the OS ( and also a 4 TB drive with about 3 TB data in it. )
On the server side : WHS 2011 Server used to have a 2 TB drive for backup, which I extended to include two more 2TB drives for a total of 6 TB
Client backup seems to be progressing.
But it has somewhat stalled at 85%
It has been sitting at 85% for days, although I see server drive's used space increasing very slowly.
Network activity seems to be stopping periodically. When it stops, WHS server resorts to heavy disk activity as if it is doing some sort of internal indexing.
On teh client computer I also have Acronis Trueimage installed ( which has GPT support ).
I have the latest updates installed on WHS 2011
I would like to know if GPT drive support has been released officially.
( If it has not been released yet, then the 'progress' Im seeing can only be some unexpected interplay between WHS 2011 connector and Acronis TrueImage - and it might fail after crawling for few more days. )
