ok, of the 20 GB, I only have 1.23 GB left in free space. So I am trying to free up C drive hoping it may speed things up a bit.
pagefil.sys = 2.1 GB
hiberfil.sys 3.4 GB
C:\Windows = 6.6 GB
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\WER357e.dir00\whsbackup.exe.hdmp and C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\WER90bc.dir00\whsbackup.exe.hdmp = 2.5 GB
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\Windows.edb = 2.75 GB
Total = 17.35 GB
Pretty sure I don't want to touch pagefil and hiberfil.
Cannot touch Windows directory or can I?
What about those whsbackup.exe.hdmp files?
Last option is the Windows.edb file. Is that safe to delete and if so, what will be the result? Clients searching on the Shared Folder have lost indexing?
If indeed it is safe to delete the Windows.edb, is there a special way to do so?
