Having issues finding my WHS from new installs and repair DVD
I cannot connect to the server with its welcome page But 3x win 7 machines installed connector fine by manual input. years ago.
I just got a new win8 tab, connector does not find server (non default name)
I can ping my server ip from tablet fine.
I cannot ping by name
Can ping tablet name from server.
I Have tried a recent restore on a win7 machine, The dvd will not locate the server.
I think I read something about a host file in system32 folder. It looks like there was an entry with a older router I had in there after all the ### I deleted it, but it did not help.
