Hi,
I'm looking at upgrading my server and storage capacity over the next few months, as I move into a new house. I'm going to be converting it from a tower, into a rackmount using the Norco4220 case.
Current Setup
WHS 2011
Norco 4220
Supermicro x8sil-f
Intel Xeon x3460
Kingston 16GB Registered ECC Unbuffered
OS Array - 2x WD 500GB Caviar Black - Raid 1
Storage - 4x WD 1TB Caviar Black - Raid 5 (supermicro onboard controller)
Future
Windows Server 2012 Standard - Hyper V Role
- VM WS2012E
- VM Win 7
Add Perc6/i Dell raid card
Add Intel 2x NIC card in PCI-E
Add 5x WD Red 2TB drives in new Raid 5 Array
However, i have a friend that can get me an HP Storageworks p4300 iSCSI MDL 7.2TB Generation 1, for cheap, like $500 cheap with 8x 1TB drives.

Question is, should i go the internal route and purchase the WD Red drives, or go with the HP Storageworks device, as I've never used ISCSI before.
