Ex495 Health Blue Light Flashing Blue, Cannot Connect

When I got up this morning, I noticed that the server was on (using lights out software, it should suspend the server after backup is complete). At this time, I noticed that both 1.5TB hard drives LEDs were on. I could not connect to the server either using the WHS software or with remote desktop.

I rebooted the server, saw the LED flash red for a second or so (5 times) then went back to flashing blue again. At this time the blue HD LEDs were OFF.

I removed the non-system drive (bay 1) and tried rebooting the server.

No go still.

Seems to indicate that the system drive is not booting.

I have seen some other posts mentioning removing the system drive and running a chkdsk/r from another PC. Is this the first thing to do having seen the issue above?

Just after posting the initial message......I tried

Went into Cisco Network Magic Pro and looked at the server, it says it is offline and does not show any IP Address. So, this sounds like the network card has gone belly up?

Is WHS smart enough to not even power up the HDs if there is no network connection?

As I was posting this, I heard the EX495 "clicking" (HD head movement but not sure)?

Pinging the server gets this:

C:\Users\kevmeist>ping kre-server01

Pinging KRE-SERVER01 [192.168.1.104] with 32 bytes of data:

Tried replacing the network cable with one that was working...made no difference.

Thanks in advance.
