I have been having server issues. I have a MediaSmart 495 (standard configuration, no hardware upgrades other than installed hard drives). A couple of times now, I have had my server freeze and when I restart it, I remote in to remote desktop to find a windows error saying that "TwonkyMediaServer.exe encountered a problem and needed to close."
I only use my server to share files on my local network and to backup my PCs. I have never used the media serving capabilities, but have always been reluctant to turn it off for fear that it might affect something else on the server. If I am not using it, and if it is crashing the server, can I either turn it off or uninstall it? Will doing so affect anything else like file sharing?
